is compact and unique.
Yashica 44LM

This, introduced in 1959, was an upgrade model of Yashica 44 introduced in 1958, and featured built-in selenium exposure meter, film wind knob (instead of the crank lever on 44) and easy loading mechanism.
With built-in exposure meter, compact and light body were realized on it.

The is the only 6x6cm format TLR camera that has interchangeable lens system. (And all the series model as well through the first in the series, Mamiya C2 professional introduced in 1957, and the latest, C330S in 1984.)
This camera is not like the ones introduced on previous pages. Full of supplemental accessories don't make you feel that TLRs are inconvenience at some locations.
These are what the camera employs :
  • Focusing by bellows extension that enabling close photography.
  • One-slight touch switches 120, or 220 film mode.
  • Sectors are built in the view lens.
  • Not only interchangeable lenses, but also finders are provided as the system accessories.
