Earlier Nikkor lenses have the alphabet at the end of "NIKKOR" to classify the number of lens elements that the lens has.
The number of lens elements is as follows:

T = 3, Q = 4, P = 5, H = 6, S = 7, O = 8

* The lens in the figure above is NIKKOR-S lens, means that the lens elements of it are seven (7).
