Leica M3 Olive
Olive-colored M3 is the model that was made for the West German military. The German word "Bundeseigentum" (means Federal government's property) is engraved on the camera back. And the accessries include lenses or leather cases are also finished in olive color. They might be provided in a set. The lenses provided are as follows :
Elmar 50mm f/3.5, Hektor 135mm f/4.5 and Summaron 35mm f/2.8 with Nooky.
Each lens has the military's mark and the code number on its barrel.
The gross number of M3 Olive manufactured is said to be 144, but the truth have been unknown.

Features of Leica M3 Olive

Camera Top Not like the one on the black-colored M3, the film wind knob on the M3 Olive is not finished in the same color.
The word "Bundeseigentum" and the code number are engraved on the camera back (though the one in the figure above dose not have the code number). And some of them also have the German eagle seal on their back. The rear side of the back cover is also finished in olive color.
